The ACP Level 1 Certification validates the skills and expertise of experienced Civic Platform Administrators and Accela Implementation Partners who are ready to demonstrate real‑world configuration and administration proficiency. This certification is ideal for professionals with at least one year of hands‑on experience who want formal recognition of their technical capability and implementation readiness.
The certification journey begins with participation in the Certification Test‑Out Instruction Meeting. This required session provides a clear, guided overview of the certification process, including project expectations, evaluation criteria, submission requirements, and communication standards. Participants leave the session with a complete understanding of how to successfully navigate the test‑out experience from start to finish.
Certification is earned through the successful completion and submission of a comprehensive certification project that demonstrates practical, applied knowledge of the Civic Platform. Projects are submitted through the final module of the course and reviewed by subject matter experts. Certification results are typically issued within 30–45 days of submission.
The ACP Level 1 Certification is valid for 24 months, ensuring certified professionals maintain current, relevant skills. Certification may be renewed once through a renewal assessment, extending validity for an additional 24 months (up to 48 months total). After 48 months, individuals are encouraged to recertify or advance their professional development by pursuing ACP Level 2 Certification.
